Hi

I am fairly new to the Bristol Mini scene, I drive a John Cooper LE which I have had from new, up until recently it was my every day car, I lived in cornwall for 3 and a half years, and was a keen surfer so my mini spent alot of time parked on beaches, which as you can imagine took it's toll on the bodywork. I now live in Bristol and have a company van so I have decided it's time to restore the mini back to it's former glory.

I am on a fairly tight budget, but I want to make sure I do it properly, so I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a good bodyshop (preferably mini specific) in the Bristol area. (I have considered MBM, would love to get it done there but I think they're a bit out of my price range.)

Also if anyone is selling any mpi mini parts, or knows of any mini breakers in the area I would be keen to know as I am looking for quite a few bits.

If anyone can give me any help or advice it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

Avoid MBM. You won't find a Mini owner in Bristol with a good word to say about them!

I got a lot of bodywork done at "Gary's" in Keynsham (sorry, don't know the name of the business, but someone else will) and thought they did a very good job for the money. They're really an accident repair centre, though, so I'm not sure whether they routinely carry out restoration work.

Thanks,

No need to send pics, going to try out these two plus a couple of others next week for some quotes, so we'll see how it goes.

Hi if you haven't booked into one yet - I recommend Bob Jenkins in Kingswood/fishponds area. He only does classsics and has just finished my 1968 cooper total refurb - I will become a memeber soon as soon as the carbs are balanced. tel 01179615944
